Abstract

Preludiji op. 28, Fryderyka Chopina, zbirka je koja sadrži 24 preludija u svim dur i mol tonalitetima. Objavljena je u lipnju 1839. godine, a skladana je na klaviru potpuno drugačijem od današnjeg. Karakteristike tog klavira i usporedba s modernim klavirom prikazani su u ovome radu. Predočena je interpretativna analiza svih preludija i uspoređene su dvije referentne izvedbe na dva različita klavira. Jedna je izvedba na Erardu iz 1839., a druga na klaviru Steinway & Sons modela D. Cilj rada bio je omogućiti uvid u zvuk i interpretaciju Preludija približan onome koji je Chopin čuo te ga usporediti s današnjim zvukom.

Abstract (english)

The Preludes, Op. 28 by Fryderyk Chopin is a collection that consists of 24 preludes in all major and minor keys. It was published in June 1839 and composed on a piano that is completely different from the modern piano. The characteristics of that piano and a comparison with the modern piano are presented in this paper. An interpretative analysis of all the preludes is provided, and two reference performances on two different pianos are compared. One performance is on an 1839 Erard piano, and the other is on a Steinway & Sons Model D piano. The aim of this paper was to provide insights into the sound and interpretation of the Preludes, closely resembling what Chopin heard, and to compare it with the sound of today.
