Abstract

U ovom se radu analizira djelo hrvatskog skladatelja Berislava Šipuša Goan Concerto napisano za timpane za i gudački orkestar. Rad obuhvaća biografiju skladatelja i kratku povijest timpana, u središnjem dijelu prikazane su strukturna i harmonijska analiza djela te analiza njegove solističke i orkestralne dionice. Analizira se improvizacija kao vaţan element interpretacije te vaţnost djela u pedagoške svrhe

Abstract (english)

This thesis shall analyse a piece by the Croatian composer Berislav Šipuš, Goan Concerto, written for timpani and string orchestra. The thesis begins with the composer's biography and a short history of timpani as an introduction. The main part presents a structural and harmonical analysis of the piece, and an analysis of the solo and orchestral sections. The thesis shall also analyse improvisation as an important interpretative element of a piece, and the significance of this piece as a pedagogical tool.
