Abstract

Ovaj rad donosi kratku biografiju Frédérica Chopina, osvrt na njegovo stvaralaštvo i utjecaj te osvrt na preludij kao glazbenu formu općenito. Najveći dio rada bavi se njegovim ciklusom od 24 preludija (op. 28) i prikazuje njihovu formalnu, tehničku i interpretativnu analizu. Budući da ovo djelo čini velik dio programa mojega diplomskog koncerta, želja mi je bila upoznati se s preludijima na dubljoj razini i napisati detaljnu analizu svakog. Uz istraživanje mnogih izvora o skladatelju i glazbi, samoj analizi preludija uvelike je pridonio i moj praktičan rad na Preludijima, tj. višemjesečno vježbanje, rad s raznim profesorima i slušanje referentnih izvedbi. Ovaj rad prvenstveno je namijenjen čitateljima koji su upoznati s problematikom izvođenja Chopinove glazbe te se žele pobliže upoznati s mogućim načinima vježbanja i izvođenja njegovih preludija.

Abstract (english)

This paper brings a short biography of Frederic Chopin, a review of his work and impact and a review of the prelude as a music form in general. It mostly focuses on his cycle of 24 preludes (op.28) so it provides their formal, technical and interpretative analysis. Due to the fact that this piece makes up a great part of my graduation recital repertoire, my goal was to understand it on a deeper level and to write a detailed analysis of each prelude. Together with different sources used for research about the composer and his music, what also contributed to my analysis of the preludes was the practical work I put into them – this includes months of practice, working with different professors and listening to performances by acclaimed pianists. This paper is intended primarily for readers who are familiar with the problems related to playing Chopin's music and who wish to better understand the possible tactics used in practicing and performing his preludes.
