Abstract

U ovom radu bavit ću se istraživanjem prve hrvatske rock-opere Gubec-beg, njenom primjenom u nastavi glazbe, njenim odjekom u hrvatskim, ali i u globalnim okvirima te mjuziklom kao glazbeno-scenskom vrstom. Bavit ću se seljačkom bunom kao romanom i kao povijesnim događajem. A na kraju ću dati pogled na Gubec-bega od strane autora i izvođača. U prvom dijelu objasnit ću što je to mjuzikl kao glazbeno-scenska vrsta, a što rock-opera i kakva je veza između njih. Navest ću vrste mjuzikla te opisati nastanak mjuzikla u Hrvatskoj i sve ono što je prethodilo nastanku prvih rock-opera u Hrvatskoj. U drugom dijelu opisat ću rock-operu Gubec-beg kao glazbeno-scensko djelo, njenu povijesnu važnost te ulogu zagrebačkog gradskog kazališta Komedija u izvedbi samog djela. U trećem dijelu bavit ću se praktičnom primjenom Gubec-bega u nastavi glazbe tako što ću opisati nastavne sate predmeta Glazbena kultura u osnovnoj općeobrazovnoj školi, Glazbena umjetnost u gimnaziji, te Solfeggio i Povijest glazbe u srednjoj glazbenoj školi. U završnom dijelu intervjuirao sam g-đu Radojku Šverko, našu renomiranu pjevačicu, koja je tumačila ulogu Jane krajem 1970-ih godina kako bih saznao više o iskustvu izvođenja ovog djela, atmosferi unutar ansambla te o mnogim gostovanjima. Također, intervjuirao sam tekstopisca Gubec-bega, g-dina Ivicu Krajača. Smatram da sam na taj način dobio uvid u nastajanje Gubec-bega iskustvom iz prve ruke te društveni i politički kontekst prije četrdesetak godina.

Abstract (english)

In this thesis I will examine the first Croatian rock-opera Gubec-beg, its application in music instruction and its reception in the Croatian as well as global context. Musical will also be analysed as a theatrical genre. The Croatian-Slovene Peasant Revolt is discussed as a historical event and in the context of its novelization. The authors and performers views on Gubec-beg are presented in the later part of the thesis. The first part will define the musical and the rock-opera as theatrical genres and their mutual relation. Different types of musical are specified. Attention is also drawn to the development of musical in Croatia and the process that led to the creation of first Croatian rockoperas. The second part describes the rock-opera Gubec-beg as a musical-theatrical work and its historical significance. The role of the Zagreb City Theatre Komedija is also taken into account. In the third part I will deal with the practical application of Gubec-beg in music instruction by describing the primary school class Glazbena kultura (Music Culture), Glazbena umjetnost (Music Art), and a gymnasium and secondary music school classes Solfeggio and Povijest glazbe (History of Music). In the final part I present the interview conducted with Radojka Šverko, the renowned singer who played Jana at the end of 1970s. The interview elicits the experience of performing Gubec-beg and the atmosphere within the ensemble. The second interviewee is Ivica Krajač, the librettist of Gubec-beg. Insight is given into the first-hand experience of the creation of Gubec-beg as well as the social and political context along with other circumstances surrounding the rock-opera 40 years ago.
