Abstract
Ovaj rad podijeljen je na četiri poglavlja koja pokrivaju porijeklo, vrste i namjenu tabulatura kod pojedinih instrumenata iz razdoblja renesanse i baroka, njenu široku uporabu u današnjoj popularnoj glazbi te prednosti i mane u usporedbi s notnim zapisom. Uvodna poglavlja sadrže razvoj, kako instrumenata, tako i notacije, te razlike između tabulatura, ovisno o području na kojem su nastale. U sljedećim poglavljima navodi se upotreba tabulature u današnjoj popularnoj glazbi za gitaru koja se u drugoj polovici 20. stoljeća znatno proširila po cijelom svijetu. U završnim poglavljima navodi se problematika čitanja tabulatura (trajanje pojedinih tonova, višeglasje i sl.) te pozitivne strane toga zapisa (jednostavnost čitanja prstometa)
