Abstract
Frauenliebe und Leben, op. 42, jedno je od najistaknutijih djela romantičarskog repertoara. Robert Schumann je skladao ovo djelo na tekstove istoimenog ciklusa pjesama Adelberta von Chamissoa, njemačkog pjesnika francuskog podrijetla. Kroz osam pjesama iznesena je nježna i iskrena priča o životu jedne žene kroz prizmu ljubavi, braka, majčinstva i gubitka. U prvom dijelu nalaze se sažete biografije Schumanna i Chamissoa, nakon kojih slijede prijevodi i analize pjesama te kritike različitih perspektiva. Rad je osmišljen kao korisno štivo za glazbenike koji se pripremaju za izvedbu ovog ciklusa.
Abstract (english)
Frauenliebe und Leben, Op. 42, is one of the most prominent works in the Romantic repertoire. Robert Schumann composed this piece to the texts of the eponymous song cycle by Adelbert von Chamisso, a German poet of French origin. Through eight songs, it presents a tender and sincere story of a woman's life through the lens of love, marriage, motherhood, and loss. The first part contains concise biographies of Schumann and Chamisso, followed by analyses of the songs and critiques from different perspectives. This work is designed as a useful resource for musicians preparing to perform this cycle.
