Abstract

Ovaj diplomski rad donosi kratki pregled alt trombona kao instrumenta, njegovu povijest i značajke. U ovom radu također se govori i o srodnim instrumentima i njihovoj sličnosti alt trombonu. Rad daje uvid i u i najznačajnije skladbe pisane za alt trombon te najznačajnije orkestralne skladbe u kojima se koristi. Cilj ovog rada je predstaviti alt trombon kao važan čimbenik u glazbi kroz povijest te prikazivanje nekih manje poznatih čimbenika njegove upotrebe.

Abstract (english)

This thesis provides a brief overview of the alto trombone as an instrument, its history, and its characteristic. It also discusses related instruments and their similarities to the alto trombone. Throughout this thesis, the most significant comopositions written for the alto trombone, as well as the most important orchestral works featuring the alto trombone, are examined. The aim of this thesis is to present the alto trombone as an important element in music history and to highlight some lesser-known aspects of the instrument.
