Abstract

U današnjem glazbenom obrazovanju izuzetno je bitno razvijati vještine motiviranja kod učenika i studenata te poticati osjećaj samoefikasnosti i kompetentnosti kako bi bili uspješni glazbenici. U ovom radu prikazane su razine motivacije i samoefikasnosti na uzorku studenata instrumentalista Muzičke akademije u Zagrebu, kao i njihova međusobna povezanost. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 58 sudionika raspona dobi od 18 do 30 godina koji su odgovarali na pitanja o općim podacima (spol, dob, godina studija, instrument koji sviraju, itd.), a zatim na tvrdnje Upitnika motivacije za vježbanjem i Upitnika samoefikasnosti pri vježbanju i sviranju. Rezultati su pokazali da su studenti najviše intrinzično motivirani te da je razina samoefikasnosti visoka. Nadalje, samoefikasnost se pokazala nisko pozitivno povezanom s intrinzičnom i općom motivacijom, dok je s amotivacijom bila negativno povezana. Između ekstrinzične motivacije i samoefikasnosti nije dobivena povezanost. Najveća dobivena pozitivna povezanost bila je između opće i intrinzične te između opće i ekstrinzične motivacije, dok je između intrinzične i ekstrinzične dobivena povezanost niska i pozitivna. Amotivacija se pokazala vrlo nisko pozitivno povezanom s ekstrinzičnom, a negativno s intrinzičnom motivacijom. Studenti su kao strategije samomotiviranja navodili i vanjske i unutarnje motivatore te je većina njih pokazala da posjeduje određene ideje i znanje o tome kako motivirati buduće učenike.

Abstract (english)

It is of crucial importance in today's music education to continually advance methods of motivation in students and encourage self-efficacy and develop competences in order to become successful musicians. This paper serves to present and analyze levels of motivation and self- efficacy of instrument players of the Zagreb Academy of Music. There were 58 students participating in the research with ages differing from 18 to 30, sharing general personal information (sex, age, current year of studies, their instrument, etc.) and answering the Motivation for Practice Questionnaire and Self-efficacy in Practicing Questionnaire. Results indicated that the students were mostly intrinsically motivated and largely self-efficacious. Furthermore, it showed a minor but positive correlation between self-efficacy and intrinsic and general motivation meanwhile showing negative correlation to amotivation. Connection between extrinsic motivation and self-efficacy has proved non-existent. Most significant correlation this research proved was between general and intrinsic motivation and general and extrinsic motivation, meanwhile showing a very low and positive correlation between extrinsic and intrinsic. Amotivation proved to have a lesser positive connection to extrinsic and negative to intrinsic motivation. As tools of self-motivation, students admitted to using both intrinsic and extrinsic motivators, a large portion of students proved to have several ideas and strategies which they intend to use to motivate their own students later in career.
