Abstract

Rad govori o kombiniranju elektronike i udaraljki. Tema rada nameće istraživanje pojave ovakve glazbe, kako na svjetskoj, tako i na domaćoj glazbenoj sceni. Novonastale kompozicije svjedoče o različitim odnosima dvaju medija. Na pisani rad naslanja se izvedba dviju kompozicija, koje također podrazumijevaju kombinaciju elektronike i udaraljki. Prva, Desert Thorn, skladba je uglednog hrvatskoga kompozitora, koji bilježi iskustva sa sličnim načinom komponiranja, Igora Lešnika, a koja se ovaj put izvodi premijerno. Druga, Alter Ego, skladba je nagrađenog američkog kompozitora, Pata Jacobsona, koji je za istoimenu kompoziciju osvojio 1. nagradu na uglednom natjecanju Percussive Arts Society 40th Annual Composition Contest.

Abstract (english)

The paper discusses music that combines electronics and percussion. The theme of the work imposes exploring such kind of music, on worldwide and on the domestic scene. A newly created compositions testify about the different relationships between two media. The paper also gives a brief overview of two compositions that include a combination of electronics and percussion. First one, named Desert Thorn is a piece written by reputable Croatian composer, who has a lot experience with similar ways of composing, Igor Lesnik. On this occasion Desert Thorn will be carried out as premiere performance. Composition Alter Ego is a winning peace by American composer Pat Jacobson, who won first prize in the competition Percussive Arts Society 40th Annual Composition Contest.
