Abstract
Rad donosi povijesni razvoj kontrabasa kao instrumenta. U drugom dijelu razmatra ulogu kontrabassa u raznolikim sastavima, počevši od orkestarskih uloga, pa do komorne i solističke literature. Treći dio ispituje neke metodičke probleme u nastavi kontrabasa.
