Abstract

Diplomski rad Upotreba korala u orguljaškoj literaturi bavi se tematikom korala i njegove raznovrsne upotrebe. Bavi se povijesnim događanjima koji su doveli do nastanka korala, odnosno njegov kontekst nastajanja. U radu je riječ i o velikom utjecaju i uporabi gregorijanskog i protestantskog korala u orguljaškoj literaturi. Naposljetku, to je vidljivo i na temelju kratkih prikaza djelovanja pojedinih skladatelja koji su ih najčešće uzimali kao predložak za skladanje i razvijanje svojih novih glazbenih formi, ali utemeljenih upravo na koralu. Cilj je doći do zaključka koliko je koral kao takav važna pojava, općenito o razvoju korala u povijesti glazbe, a svakako onda i njegova uporaba i utjecaj u orguljaškoj literaturi, kako kroz sva povijesna razdoblja, tako i sve do danas.

Abstract (english)

The thesis The Usage of Chorales in Organist Literature deals with the topic of chorales and
their various uses. It deals with historical events that lead to the invention of chorales,
specifically the context of their emergence. The thesis deals with the great influence and
usage of Gregorian chants and the protestant chorales in organist literature. After all, it
becomes evident from the brief descriptions of the works of different composers who used
them as a template for composing and development of their new music forms, based precisely
on the chorales. The goal is to reach a conclusion as to the importance of chorales as such, but
also about the general development of chorales through music history, and of their usage and
influence in the organist literature, through all historical periods and until today.
