Abstract

Tema ovog diplomskog rada analiza je Apres une lecture du Dante: Fantasia quasi Sonata, vrlo značajnog klavirskog djela u opusu skladatelja Franza Liszta. Ova široko poznata skladba ostavila je veliki trag u pijanističkom repertoaru zbog svoje tehničke zahtjevnosti, ali i zbog velikog raspona emocija i dinamičkog nijasniranja kojim djelo obiluje. Prvo poglavlje sadrži osvrt na stilsko razdoblje glazbenog romantizma čije značajke skladba nosi, osvrt na skladateljevo razmišljanje, način života i njegov svjetonazor kao i povijesne okolnosti koje su se odvijale u vremenu nastanka sonate. Bitna stavka, koja će se također detaljnije objasniti, jest djelo, tj. tekstualni predložak po kojemu je skladba i nastala. U drugom poglavlju obrađuje se formalna i harmonijska analiza djela, odnosno niz glazbenih motiva koji su isprepleteni kroz skladbu i njihovu simboliku. Liszt je unutar ove skladbe napisao mnoge interpretativne oznake koje će se spomenuti i objasniti u sklopu ovog poglavlja. Također, potrebno je naglasiti važnost intervala povećane kvarte/ smanjene kvinte (ili poznatog naziva tritonus) kroz kojeg Liszt ocrtava upravo simbol pakla te koji se tijekom cijelog djela javlja najavljujući promjenu i tijek dotadašnjeg glazbenog materijala. Osim toga, bit će predstavljene teme koje se javljaju kroz djelo te se suprotstavljaju i kontrastiraju (božansko nasuprot vražjem), a objasnit će se i način na koji Liszt oslikava određene osjećaje, emocije i karaktere kroz tonalitete, ritam i dinamiku. Treće poglavlje usmjereno je na tehničke aspekte skladbe te pobliže objašnjava pristup određenim zahtjevnim mjestima s kojima se izvođač suočava. Pobliže će se opisati vrste tehnika prisutnih u skladbi kao i vježbe koje bi pomogle pri njihovom rješavanju. Pomoć pri obrazloženju bit će notni primjeri priloženi uz tekst.

Abstract (english)

The topic of this thesis is the analysis of the Apres une lecture du Dante: Fantasia quasi Sonata, a very important piano work in the work of composer Franz Liszt. This widely known composition has left a big mark in the piano repertoire due to its technical complexity, but also due to the large range of emotions and dynamic shading that the work abounds in. The first chapter contains a review of the stylistic period of musical romanticism whose features the composition carries, a review of the composer's thinking, way of life and his worldview as well as the historical circumstances that took place during the creation of the sonata. An important item that will also be explained in more detail is the work or in another words - the textual template according to which the composition was created. The second chapter deals with the formal and harmonic analysis of the work or a series of musical motifs that are intertwined through the composition and their symbolism. Within the Dante sonata, Liszt wrote many interpretive marks that will be mentioned and explained as part of this chapter. Also, it is necessary to emphasize the importance of the interval of the increased quartet / reduced fifth (or the well-known name tritonus) through which Liszt outlines the symbol of hell and which appears throughout the work announcing the change and course of previous musical material. In addition, themes that appear throughout the work and oppose and contrast (divine vs. devilish) will be presented, and the way in which Liszt depicts certain feelings, emotions and characters through tonalities, rhythm and dynamics will be explained. The third chapter is based on the technical aspects of the composition and explains in more detail the approach to certain demanding places that the performer is facing. The types of techniques present in the composition will be described in more detail, as well as exercises that would help solve them. Explanatory notes will be accompanied by musical examples attached to the text.
