Abstract

Ciklus pjesama Ariettes oubliees Claudea Debussyja istinski je biser vokalne literature. Primjer je vrhunske usklađenosti dviju umjetnosti – poezije i glazbe. Debussy je inspiraciju našao u zbirci Romances sans paroles Paula Verlainea te izabrao šest karakterno različitih pjesama za uglazbljenje. Ciklus je nastao između 1885. i 1888. godine te pripada Debussyjevoj ranoj fazi stvaralaštva. Debussy radi iskorake u odnosu na ustaljenu praksu prethodnika, posebice u instrumentacijskome i harmonijskome kontekstu dok Verlaine, na sličan način, u poeziji narušava ustaljenosti francuske literarne tradicije. Odnos glazbe i poezije poprima jednu novu dimenziju u ovome ciklusu te se ostvaruje jasna separacija umjetnosti poezije i glazbe.Ariettes oubliees predstavlja Debussyjev prvi značajan iskorak s ekspresijom kromatike kao dominantnom odlikom u formi pjesama te upravljanje tenzijom harmonijskim i poetskim prikazom. Kompatibilnost s logičnošću Verlaineova teksta postavlja osnovni uvjet za odabir forme i načina obrade glazbenoga materijala.

Abstract (english)

Song cycle Ariettes oubliees by Claude Debussy is a true pearl of vocal literature. It is an example of fine balance between two arts- poetry and music. Debussy found his inspiration in Paul Verlaine's work Romances sans paroles and selected six different poems for his music. Cycle has been written around 1885. and 1888. and it represents Debussy's early faze. Debussy makes breaktrough, especially through instrumentation and harmony while Verlaine, in the similar manner, breaks regularities of the french literature tradition through poetry. Relation between music and poetry gets a whole new dimension through this song cycle whilst each of them has its own beauty.Ariettes oubliees represents Debussy's first largest leap through expressive chromaticism as a dominant role in his song forms and controlling of the tension through harmonic and poetic display. Compatibility with logic of Verlaine's text makes primary precondition for choosing form and way of processing music material.
