Abstract
Ovaj diplomski rad bavit će se jednim od najvažnijih djela kasnog 19. stoljeća, skladbom Preludij za poslijepodne jednog fauna Claudea Debussyja. Cilj rada je omogućiti bolje razumijevanje skladbe pomoću formalne (i harmonijske) analize, a dirigentima prikazati jednu od mogućnosti priprema i pristupa skladbi uopće. Rad je podijeljen u pet cjelina: ukratko o impresionizmu, kratka biografija skladatelja, općenito o djelu, formalna analiza i na koncu dirigentska priprema. Korištena partitura izdana je od strane izdavačke kuće Bärenreiter.
Abstract (english)
This thesis is about one of the most important works of late 19th century, Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun by Claude Debussy. Its purpose is to enable better understanding of the work by having it formally analyzed, and to show conductors how to prepare and conduct such piece. Thesis is divided into five sections: about impressionism, composer's short biography, generally about Prelude, formal analysis and conductor's approach. Score used in this thesis was released by publishing house Bärenreiter.
