Abstract

Ovaj rad obrađuje nastanak i važnost verdijanskog baritona, relativno nove vrste unutar baritona kao osnovnog glasa. Iako glas nosi ime po Giuseppeu Verdiju, jednom od najvažnijih i najutjecajnijih opernih skladatelja 19. stoljeća, sam glas nije ograničen isključivo na njegovu literaturu. Prvi dio rada opisuje razvoj vokalne glazbe kroz povijest, od srednjovjekovnog pjevanja do vokalne glazbe 20. stoljeća. Nakon toga slijedi Verdijeva biografija, potom opis glasova sa naglaskom na duboke muške glasove, posebno bariton, te kratak opis bitnih pojmova u terminologiji ovoga rada: tessitura i verdijanski bariton.

Abstract (english)

This paper presents origin and importance of Verdi baritone, relatively new term in context of baritone as a basic human voice. Although the voice is named after Giuseppe Verdi, one of the most influential and revered operatic composers of 19th century, this type of voice can also be found in the literature of other autors. First part of this paper describes historical development of vocal music, from medieval times to 20th century. Next chapter describes Verdi's life, after which comes description of different types of voices, with accent on deep male voices, especially baritone.
