Abstract

U ovom diplomskom radu ponudio sam svoje viĎenje harmonijskih zbivanja u Trima
koralima za orgulje, jednom od najznačajnijih djela Césara Francka. Tri korala zapravo su
zbirka koju čine slijedeće sastavnice: 1. Koral u E-duru (FWV 38), 2. Koral u h-molu (FWV
39) i 3. Koral u a-molu (FWV 40). Korali su Franckovo posljednje djelo, dovršio ih je netom
prije smrti, i spadaju u kategoriju vaţnijih djela orguljske literature uopće.
Harmonijsku analizu svakog Korala napravio sam samostalno, uz isticanje značajnijih
ili diskutabilnijih mjesta notnim primjerima u samom teksu analize. Svaki Koral iscrpno je
analiziran je u zasebnom poglavlju; na nekim mjestima ponudio sam, uz svoje viĎenje, i
alternativna tumačenja odreĎenih harmonijskih aspekata, zbivanja ili pojedinih akorda.
Uz samu analizu postoje i poglavlje o biografiji samog skladatelja, te poglavlje o
analizi njegovog skladateljskog stila. U dodatku radu priloţio sam kompletnu partituru Triju
korala.

Abstract (english)

In this graduate thesis I have offered my opinion on harmonic developements in Trois
Chorals for organ, one of the most significant works of César Franck. Trois Chorals are
consisted, in fact, of the following pieces: 1st Choral in E major (FWV 38), 2nd Choral in b
minor (FWV 39) and 3rd Choral in a minor. The Chorals are Franck's last finished piece,
which he finished just before he passed away, and they fall into the category of the most
important pieces in organ literature.
Harmonic analysis of every individual Choral is entirely of my own doing. I've
highlighted more significant or disputable situations with note examples in the main text.
Every Choral is thoroughly analysed in it's own chapter; some situations offer, besides my
own opinion, alternative interpretations of certain harmonic aspects and developments, or
certain chords.
I've enclosed chapters about the biography of the composer and about his composing
style, in addition to the analysis. In the apendix I've submitted the whole score of the Trois
Choral.
