Abstract
U neobično bogatom i različitom muzičko-folklornom materijalu naše zemlje vidno mjesto zauzimaju pučki instrumenti. Prema Kuhačevoj podjeli, oni su svrstani u tri osnovne grupe: kordophone, aerophone, membranophone. Sopele ili sopile su pučki muzički instrument, ili bolje rečeno dva instrumenta koja čine par, iz gore navedene "aerophone" grupe. Spadaju dakle u duvačke instrumente, a osnovna karakteristika im je pisak sa dvostrukim udarnim jezičkom.
