Abstract
"Možda nikad u povijesti nije bilo pogodnije prilike i većeg razloga da se piše o muzici kao što je to danas. Nikada nije bilo toliko pisano, nikad se nisu toliko druge nauke, kao filozofija, sociologija, psihologija, matematika i dr. bavile muzikom koliko to čine danas. To nas navodi na dva zaključka: 1. ovo je možda najbitniji prijelom u razvoju muzike, 2. konačno je porasla težnja da se taj fenomen, toliko imanentan čovjeku, definitvno razjasni s jednog čisto naučnog stanovišta."
